Six
If the use of any of the classrooms of a department (institute, degree program)
needs to be changed, then the approval of the OAA must first be obtained. Please
do not randomly change the uses of classroom to avoid adversely affecting
ongoing classes and management issues.
Seven
The classroom of each department can support each other. If the percentage of
usage under 60 %, the Dean of college can arrange the classroom or OAA can
use for courses. The classroom should be used by various departments to
maximize their utility. OAA will give priority to arrange the large classrooms,
and the hour of course arrangement will not exceed the hour of general course
and general basic courses.
Eight
If a department (unit) regularly uses the classrooms of any other department,
then the university will increase the utility budget for that department.
Nine
These guidelines and their revisions are in effect subject to the approval of the
Academic Affairs Meetings.

1. The examinees are required to enter a designated examination room according to the examination schedule.
Any examinee who fails to show up within the first thirty minutes of a test will be disqualified from taking
the test. No examinee is allowed to leave the examination room during the first 40 minutes of a test, and
any examinee who violates this rule will not be given a test score for the subject.
2. Examinees are required to present the exam admission ticket and their original national ID card (or other
personal identity alternatives, such as a valid passport, an alien resident certificate, a national health
insurance card or a driver’s license) as proof of identity. An examinee who is admitted with only the exam
admission ticket by the test invigilator is allowed to take the test on the condition that a personal identity
document should be presented before the end of the test. If no proof of identity has been presented by the
end of the test, then this will result in three points being subtracted from the final test score, up to a
minimum score of 0.
3. Examinees are required to sit in their assigned seats in the examination room. Before the start of a test, an
examinee should check whether their answer sheet, exam admission ticket and seat have the same
registration numbers, and whether the test questions are related to the test subject. If not, an examinee
should raise a hand to catch the attention of the invigilator. Should an examinee find and report a wrong
seat, a wrong answer sheet or any irrelevant test question paper(s) within the first 30 minutes of the test,
rather than before the test has begun, 5 points will be subtracted from their test score. Should an examinee
find and report a wrong seat, a wrong answer sheet or any irrelevant test question paper(s) after the first 30
minutes of the test, 20 points will be subtracted from the final test score. The final test score may be further
or totally subtracted according to the severity of the violation of this rule.
4. Examinees are allowed to write on the answer sheet/book with only a blue or black pen or ordinary pencil.
A violation of this rule will result in no score for this test.
5. Except for the required stationary items and calculators allowed for the test, as specified in the Examination
Guidebook, examinees are not allowed to carry to their seats any books, notes or other devices with the
functions of communication, calculation or memory (such as pagers or cell phones).
A violation of this rule will result in 5 points being subtracted from the final test score. Any watches or
items brought into the examination room, including the personal belongings placed in the temporary
storage area, must not make a noise or cause any disturbance during the test. A violation of this rule will
result in 2 points being subtracted from the final test score. An examinee should apply in advance for
permission to use a personal medical device, such as a hearing aid, for the test. Without prior approval, an
examinee using a medical device will have 2 points subtracted from the final test score. The final test score
may be further or totally subtracted according to the severity of this violation.
6. On seeing a poorly-printed question on the question paper(s), an examinee may raise a hand for a clear
copy of the question, but not an explanation, from the invigilator.
7. The examinees are required to write their answers in the designated section of the answer sheet/book. They
must not write answers in the grading section on the cover of the answer sheet/book. A violation of this
rule will result in 5 points being subtracted from the final test score. Any answers written on the question
paper will not be graded into the final score. The final score may be further or totally subtracted according |

1. These regulations for the implementation are enacted based on Article 26 of the Enforcement
Rules of the University Act to promote intramural collaboration and enhance full utilization of faculty as well
as facilities and to enable students to choose courses at other educational institutions.
2. Students of National Cheng Kung University may take courses in other universities provided
the courses are not offered in the immediate semester curriculum of the University.
3. The credits earned from selecting courses at other institutions should not exceed one third of the
overall credits in each semester, which does not apply to late graduates and graduate students.
The number of credits that can be earned at other institutions is also restricted by credit
restraints imposed each semester.
4. Students who wish to select courses in other institutions should fill in the application form,
including the intended courses, credits; course schedule, related departments of the institutions
attended, and total credits taken in the immediate semester. The form should be verified by the
Curriculum Division after being approved by the relevant department heads. Those who pass
the verification will obtain approval letters issued by the University and then proceed with the
course selection procedure at the other educational institutions.
5. If taking courses in other educational institutions, students of the University shall pay the fees
prescribed by the related institutions. The class hours (including time needed for commuting)
shall not be in conflict with those of their selected courses at the University. In case of clashes,
the scores of these courses will be canceled.
6. Students from other educational institutions who wish to select courses offered by NCKU have
to receive approval from their own university and fill out an application form as prescribed by
the University. Numbers are limited according to the stipulations of each department. The
application must be completed within a week from the registration day, or it will not be
processed. Course fees should be paid according to the standard set by the Ministry of
Education. For computer and/or language courses, students must pay the intern fees.
7. Once students from other educational institutions have completed the required registration
process, they shall not drop elected courses or ask for a refund unless the courses are canceled
due to insufficient enrollment. Following completion of each semester, the grades of students
shall be reported by the Registration Office of the University to their respective educational
institutions.
8. If these regulations are not specified clearly, please act in accordance with relevant regulations
and rules.

四、補助及獎勵之標準如下: |
4. Criteria for subsidies and rewards are set as follows:
(一)經課程推動小組審查,符合前點要件者,每門課程授課鐘點數加計 0.5小 時;融入服務學習內涵之專業課程,每門課程授課鐘點數加計 1小時。
(1) Any instructor proposing a service-learning course approved by the Panel in accordance with the requirements stated in Direction 4 will be rewarded with an additional 0.5 teaching hour for the course. Any instructor proposing a major program course with service-learning contents approved by the panel will be rewarded with one additional teaching hour for the course.
(二)課程推動小組得視經費預算就申請之課程擇優補助,補助金額每門課程以不超過新臺幣 2 萬元為原則。但經課程推動小組審查通過具有特色課程者,不在此限。
(2) The Panel shall give subsidies to courses in terms of quality within the budget designated for the service-learning curriculum. In principle, a course approved by the Panel will be given a maximum subsidy of NT$20,000. However, a course with distinctive characteristics approved by the Panel is not subject to the maximum requirement.
(三)課程推動小組得視經費預算情形,就服務學習課程及表現績優之教職員與學生,評審出數名,由校方於適當場合公開獎勵,以資鼓勵。
(3) The Panel shall use some of the budget designated for the service-learning curriculum to reward a number of faculty, staff members and students for their outstanding performance in the administration of service-learning courses. Those who are recommended by their departments or offices and approved by the Panel will be commended in a public ceremony held by the University. |

前言/總則 |
NCKU. It aims to inspire and motivate students to learn a service spirit,
protect the environment, and foster a socially desirable attitude towards life.
2. Service-Learning (2): This course is designed for students to engage in
service-oriented activities on and off campus, such as peer tutorship, serving
as a staffer for a departmental student association or a student camp
organization, an NCKU admission-related promotion campaign, or a
volunteer program. It may also be designed as a course for the maintenance
of environmental cleanness and hygiene at public spaces, or as a course
featuring an action project based on the distinct characteristic of the
department.
3. Service-Learning (3): This course is designed for students to engage in any
activities of professional services related to their major. It may be designed
as a course in association with an off-campus community service program,
a campaign held by any charitable organization for the disadvantaged or any
non-profit institution with humanistic concerns, a tutoring program for
elementary or junior high students, or an NCKU student club service.
Meanwhile, students are allowed to complete a service program designated
by an NCKU administrative office for Service-Learning (3).
The General Education Center or any department may establish and offer
courses designed with service-learning contents and hours of class attendance
required for one semester, plus a minimum of eight hours of actual service
participation for each course. However, a course designed with the hours of
actual service participation exceeding half of its required total hours of class
attendance shall not be subject to this rule. |

第四條 ~ 第五條 |
第四條 為執行服務學習課程,應成立服務學習課程推動小組,以負責相關工作
之策劃、推動等事宜,其設置要點另訂之。
Article 4 A panel shall be established to plan and push for the effective
implementation of the service-learning curriculum. The establishment of the
Service-Learning Curriculum Promotion Panel will be regulated in a
separate text.
第五條 凡具融入服務學習內涵之課程性質者,須依規定之格式,將計畫書循行政
程序,送服務學習課程推動小組審核通過始得開課。
各教學單位負責任課老師或導師參與督導,其督導工作之教學鐘點數比照
實習課程計算。為鼓勵老師規劃第一項之課程,其獎勵要點另訂之。 |

Article 5 |
Article 5 A proposal for the establishment of a service-learning course shall be written
in the designated format and submitted to the Service-Learning Curriculum
Promotion Panel for approval before the course is offered.
The calculation of teaching hours for an instructor or class advisor
responsible for a service-learning course shall be equivalent to the
calculation of teaching hours for those teaching a laboratory course.
To encourage faculty members to make course proposals for Service-
Learning (1), NCKU shall establish a set of regulations governing the
related rewards, which will be written in a separate text. |

by the department offering their major. However, with approval by the
department chair, students may enroll in any service-learning courses
offered by other departments, administrative offices or student societies. |

第七條 |
第七條服務學習課程抵免或免修規定如下:
一、學生若修習兩門以上之服務學習(三)課程,修課前經教學單位主
管同意,得抵免服務學習(二)課程。
二、學生於寒暑假或課餘時間,從事志工服務而取得政府機關或立案之慈善、
醫療等機構開立至少18 小時以上時數證明,或修習融入服務學習內涵
之通識課程或專業課程及格且實際服務時數至少 8 小時以上者,經教
學單位主管同意後,得申請免修服務學習課程。相關免修規定,由各教
學單位自行訂定。
三、身心障礙之學生,其服務學習課程,由教學單位依實際狀況作適當調
整。但情狀況特殊,經教學單位主管同意者,得予免修。 |

Article 7 |
Article 7 Service-learning course waivers or exemptions shall be regulated as follows:
1. Students who plan to take or have completed a second course for Service
Learning (3) may apply for a waiver of Service-Learning (1) or (2) with
approval of the department chair prior to course enrollment.
2. Students who have received a certificate of a minimum of 18 working hours
from a volunteer program for a government-run or government-registered
charity or medical institution during a winter or summer break or on
extracurricular occasions, or those who have completed a service-learning
oriented general knowledge or specialized course with a minimum of eight
hours of actual service participation may apply for equivalent course waiver, |

第八條 |
第八條 服務學習課程考評方式,依出席狀況、工作態度及工作成果認定之,優良(90分以上)、通過(60-89分)、不通過(59 分以下)三級評定之。不通過者,必須重修;全部通過者,始得畢業。 Article 8 Students will be evaluated on the three levels of Good (over 90 points), Pass (60-89 points) and Fail (59 or fewer points) for the service-learning courses based on their attendance, work attitude and performance. Fail indicates a course failure and thus a need to reenroll in the course. Students shall complete all the courses before they are allowed to graduate from NCKU. |

第九條 |
第九條 各教學單位規劃開設服務學習課程須安排助教,協助任課老師做日常考察並予記錄,做為學期成績核算之依據。 Article 9 Each department shall assign an assistant to help the instructor keep records as a basis for final grade evaluation.
第十條 學生因故不能出席服務學習課程者,須依規定以書面請假方式向教學單位辦理請假手續;未經請假或請假未准而缺席者,以曠課論。 Article 10 Students who fail to attend a service-learning class for any reason shall submit an application for absence to the department. Absence from class without approval by the department shall be considered as truancy.
第十一條 凡請假者除公假外,其他請假時數均需於當學期內補足服務學習時數,否則以曠課論。 Article 11 Students who are absent from a service-learning class on an approved leave, except those on an official leave, shall complete the hours required for the course within the enrolled semester.
