Two |
All levels of full-time teachers should follow the Contract and Teachers’ Act to
fulfill their teaching responsibilities. In cases of taking a short leave, teachers
should make up the classes and submit explanations to the Curriculum Division

Substitute teachers can only be hired under the conditions laid out below. |

Three |
After the application submitted by teacher’s belonged teaching unit through the
administration procedure and approved by University President, the university
can arrange for teachers to substitute the classes or hire substitute teachers when
full-time teachers face any of the following situations:
1. Request for sick leaves for over twenty-one consecutive days.
2. Maternity leave, miscarriage leave, or pre-maternity leave combined with
maternity leave.
3. Funeral leave for over fifteen consecutive days.
4. Official leave for more than twenty-one consecutive days.
5. Wedding leave for over fourteen consecutive days.
6. Parental unpaid leave during a semester. |

The hourly pay for substitute teachers is disbursed from the fund of NCKU.

七、 教師兼任行政職務、從事其他校內專業服務或新進教師，其最低授課時數，依第三點規定，
再據下列規定核減：

7. Teachers undertaking administrative work, with University special services, or those who are newly
hired, may have their minimum teaching hours, as outlined in article three, reduced for the following
reasons:
1. Teachers who are taking positions as the Vice President, the Dean (Vice Dean) of the affiliated
hospital, the heads of teaching and research units or administrative units can teach four hours less
per week for each semester.
2. Teachers who undertake unofficial administrative position can teach two to four hours less per
week for each semester after being approved.
3. While not affecting the teaching unit’s curriculum arrangement, teachers who undertake
University special service can be approved to teach two hours less per week for each semester,
each time for a maximum of two years.
4. Assistant professors who have not taught more than three years can teach a minimum of nine
hours per academic year after approved.
If a teacher meets more than one of the above conditions, they should apply for a reduction in
minimum hours based on only one of them. In addition, working more than the reduced hours cannot
be regarded as working overtime. |

A lump-sum payment for thesis/dissertation advising shall be made to an instructor upon graduation of his/her advisees, with an amount of NT$4,000 for a master’s program student and NT$6,000 for a doctoral student. In case of co-advising one student, the amount shall be equally shared by each instructor. An instructor shall receive a maximum payment of NT$20,000 for master’s thesis advising to advisees admitted in the same academic year (excluding those from master’s programs for in-service students, or specific master’s programs for industrial development). However, under special circumstances, exceptional payments approved by a department (institute or degree program), which shall be proposed in a report to the Vice President for Academic Affairs for final approval, will be exempted from this rule. |

十、 課程符合下列規定者，得於計算教師鐘點費時加計授課鐘點數：
（一） 每科選課人數達80至110人，授課鐘點數乘以1.2倍計算；達111至140人，乘以 1.4倍計算；達141至170人，乘以1.6倍計算；達171至200 人，乘以 1.8 倍計算；達201人以上，乘以2倍計算。
（二） 開授以全英語授課之課程，經教學單位課程委員及院課程委員會審核通過者，其授課鐘點數乘以1.5倍計算。但一般語言類課程(含相關課程本應以英語授課者)、非講授類課程(專題討論、書報討論、論文、專題、獨立研究等性質者)及以英語為母語之外籍教師所開之課程等，不適用之。
（三） 符合本校「磨課師數位學習課程」(MOOCs)開課規定，每學期經校課程委員會審核通過者，其線上課程鐘點數乘以1.5倍計算，鐘點加計至多以4學期為限。前述線上課程同一學期適用多門課程時，擇其鐘點數加計最高之科目採計之。 |

1. When the numbers of students reaches between 80 and 110, the teaching hours increase by 1.2; between 111 and 140, by 1.4; between 141 and 170 by 1.6; between 171 and 200 by 1.8; above 201 by 2.
2. Approved by the teaching unit, Collegiate Committees, teaching hours of English-taught course can increase by 1.5 after department and college Curriculum Committee approved. However, general language course, non-lecture course (seminars, book discussion, thesis, project, independent research) and the course of English-Speaking foreign lecturers will not include.
3. The courses which match “Moocs Regulation” can increase on-line teaching hour by 1.5 after University Curriculum Committee approved, but the teaching hour could not increase more than 4 semesters. When the same on-line teaching hour(s) being applied in many online courses in one semester, the highest teaching hours will be counted.
4. The innovative experimental course can increase teaching hour by 1.5 after University Curriculum Committee approved, but the teaching hour could not increase more than 3 semesters.
The courses hour which qualify the regulation above can be counted repeatedly, but no more than 2 times. Each teaching unit will decide if the 1st term is available for Master’s Degree programs for professionals or not. |

When it is for make up the hours of last academic year, the extra hours taught will not be counted as overtime. One
The guidelines are enacted based on the Eighteenth Article of the Detailed
Specifications of the University Law.
Two
The enacting of the guidelines is to regulate reasonable teaching hours for teachers
and the disbursement methods for overtime pay and thesis tutoring fees, and to
meet the needs for teaching, research, and services.
Three
Full-time teachers from each teaching unit must teach at least one course every
semester, and in general there are fourteen hours of teaching each academic year
(not including the teaching hours for Bachelor’s degree further study programs &
Master’s degree programs for professionals).
However, to cover both teaching and research and in order not to increase
the teaching unit faculty numbers or budget, as well as to not affect the teaching unit’s
curriculum and students’ course selection, teachers with excellent performance in
academic researches, teaching or Industry-University cooperative projects, after
approved by unit committee, collegiate committee, and as a special project
approved by dean of Academic Affairs, are allowed to reduce teaching hours

1. When the numbers of students reaches between 80 and 110, the teaching hours
increase by 1.2; between 111 and 140, by 1.4; between 141 and 170 by 1.6;
between 171 and 200 by 1.8; above 201 by 2.
2. Approved by the teaching unit, Collegiate Committees, teaching hours of
English-taught course can increase by 1.5 after department and college
Curriculum Committee approved. However, general language course,
non-lecture course (seminars, book discussion, thesis, project, independent
research) and the course of English-Speaking foreign lecturers will not
include.
3. The courses which match “Moocs Regulation” can increase on-line teaching
hour by 1.5 after University Curriculum Committee approved, but the teaching
hour could not increase more than 4 semesters. When the same on-line
teaching hour(s) being applied in many online courses in one semester, the
highest teaching hours will be counted.
4. The innovative experimental course can increase teaching hour by 1.5 after
University Curriculum Committee approved, but the teaching hour could not
increase more than 3 semesters.
The courses hour which qualify the regulation above can be counted repeatedly,
but no more than 2 times. Each teaching unit will decide if the 1st term is available
for Master’s Degree programs for professionals or not.
Eleven
Courses without enough students should be canceled after the deadline for the
waiving and selecting period.
Hours taught before the cancellation by full-time teachers will not be paid;
part-time teachers will get paid for two weeks teaching hours.
If the course is approved to be continued, full-time teachers will not get overtime
pay and part-time teacher will be paid by teaching unit.
Twelve
For full-time teachers who take up administrative work, do research overseas, are
on personal leave, the teaching hour will not be limited by article three if only one
semester. The minimum teaching hours will be counted half as set forth on article
three of these guidelines.

Full-time teachers whose teaching hours do not reach the minimum requirement
should teach more hours at their teaching units or at the general course center by
the respective department. When it is for make up the hours of last academic year,
the extra hours taught will not be counted as overtime. Teachers who do not teach
enough hours for two consecutive academic years, the teaching unit and college
will be notified. This should be taken into account when hiring more teachers at
that department and those teachers’ teaching assessment and promotion.

If these regulations are not specified sufficiently, please act in accordance with
relevant regulations and rules.

These guidelines and their revisions are in effect subject to the approval of the

Subject: Information concerning undergraduate final examinations for the 2019 Fall
Semester.
Description:
1. The final examination period will be from January 6 to 10, 2020. The examination
for courses of two or more credits will be given by the instructors during two or
more consecutive class hour period without a break. Students of all departments are
not allowed to ask the instructors to give the examination in advance for any reason.
2. All students must abide by the examination rules and pay special attention to the
following items:
(1) After entering the examination room, students can choose any seat, except if
the instructor decides to assign seats, and must sign their name on the
attendance sheet.
(2) Students must display their student identity card on their desk. Those who
violate the examination rules will be punished according to NCKU rules.
(3) Any unauthorized reference materials, stationery items, and electronic devices
with communication and/or storage capabilities are not to be brought into the
examination room.
3. According to paragraph 1 in Article 5 of the NCKU Regulations for Student Leave
of Absence: “Applications for leave shall not be allowed during an examination
period in the semester. However, in case of severe illness, emergency, or unforeseen
contingencies, students will be allowed to apply for leave with relevant certificates
or documents in accordance with Article 3 of the Regulations.” Students need to log
in to the Student Leave of Absence Application Online System (http://i.ncku.edu.tw/)
to apply for such a leave of absence according to relevant regulations. For more
information, please check the website of the Student Assistance Division of the
Office of Student Affairs (http://assistance.osa.ncku.edu.tw/).

Rules on Curriculum Test Venues

One
These rules are established for keeping the curriculum test order.
Two
Students can bring stationary and reference materials with the agreement from
the test supervisor of that course. All communication devices, books, paper, or
any devices with calculating, memorizing, photo, or video recording function
are prohibited to be brought in and must be placed at the appointed location.
Offender’s score may be deducted by the course’s teacher, and in serious cases
their scores are calculated with zero points.
Three
Students should bring their student pass and place it on the table for the
inspection of the test supervisor. For those who forget to bring their student pass,
the test supervisor will specify “without pass” on their test sheet. Such students
must then bring their passes to be verified by the course teacher after the test,
and failure to do so will result in a zero score on the tested subject.
Four
Students who are late by more than twenty minutes are not allowed to enter the
test venue and will be considered as absent from the test.
Five
It is prohibited to cheat, once being found cheating, the supervising teacher will
announce the test sheet is nullified and notify the Office of Student Affairs for
further penalties. If the test is taken by a substitute, both students will face
severe punishments.
Six
When turning in the test sheet, the test book must be enclosed. After turning to
the test supervisor, student must leave the venue immediately.
Seven
Students should stop answering once the bell rings and follow the instruction of
the test supervisor when turning in the test sheets and leave the venue one by
one, or the sheets will be nullified and the Office of Student Affairs notified for
further penalties. |

Regardless of whether the test sheets are completed, students must turn in the
sheets or they will be counted as zero and the Office of Student Affairs notified
for further penalties.

When there is a test going on, and happen a natural disaster or serious huge
event, please obey the test supervisor’s instruction, and inform the NCKU
Campus Security Center depending on the situation.

國立成功大學體育室設置辦法
第一條 依國立成功大學組織規程第七條第一項第一款規定設體育室(以下簡稱本室)，
負責體育教學、體育活動及運動場地營運管理，並訂定本辦法。
第二條 本室置主任一人，綜理室務，主任推選辦法另訂之。
第三條 本室設教學組、活動組及場地組三組，負責辦理下列事務，每組置組長一人，
由主任選派，並依相關規定聘任之。
一、教學組：掌理體育教學業務與教學圖書儀器之規劃、維護、購置及 管理，
並辦理相關之研究發展事宜。
二、活動組：掌理教職員生體育活動之推動及校代表隊輔導與諮商事宜。
三、場地組：辦理運動場地設備器材之規劃、維護、購置及營運管理。
第四條 本室設室務會議為室務最高決策會議，由專任教師與專案教師等共同組成，審
